More Fun With Google
Until recently, I've been a reluctant to take advantage of any "free" features offered by web sites such as Yahoo or Google, mostly because of privacy concerns. Nothing is ever totally free, starting with that proverbial "free meal," but especially anything online. (Where's the gimmick, I want to know.)
Nonetheless, I'm having great fun with Google calendar, which offers many of the same features I once had with WebCalendar, an open-source application I'd previously hosted on my own web site for a while.
But I've relented, making sure to pay careful attention to things I want to remain private whenever I use Google. So, here's my personal Google calendar. It does all the things I'd once used WebCalendar and Outlook to do, and it's accessible from anywhere in the world. I like that!
If you're also a Google calendar user, I guess you can schedule meetings with me online, too.
While I'm at it, here's my photo album on Google, too.

New Email Address
If you've tried to reach me by email lately and wondered why your email "bounced" back as undeliverable, my apology. I've canceled my long-time (i.e., 10 year) email address. Way too much spam, so it was time to change.
What's my new address? Well, that's a secret known only to my ISP, Internet domain registrar, banks, and a few very close family members and friends.
However, I do use an email forwarding service that provides disposable email addresses. These addresses can be turned off if spam ever becomes a problem. An encrypted link to my "public" email address is here:
You will need to enable javascript on your browser to use this. Sometime soon, I'll share my "secret" strategy for fighting spam.

Mind Maps and More
I haven't yet updated my latest resume to include current work for Westat sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education or my recent retail sales and customer service experience with Borders Books. However, to help you understand how extensive my background is, here is one of my older resumes for a missile defense position (which I was offered but declined), plus a resume addendum that highlights some of my experience as an analyst.
Because my life experiences are so diverse, I'm experimenting with a "mind map" as an alternative to traditional resumes. Remember, this is only a working model at this point and will be updated as I become more familiar with the underlying "Freemind" software. You will need to install Java in order to view the mind map. You can learn more about mind mapping at Wikipedia.
